DAV™ Black Mountain Chapter #12 | Claims Help 2021

width="298" The DAV® Black Mountain - Chapter #12 Claims Help is the virtual life saver for many Veterans seeking assistance with filing their VA claims.

Our chapter has 6 different chapter service officers, ready to assist Veterans with their VA claims, removing the confusion of identifying what you are eligible for and how to file for it.

Our Chapter Service Officers (DSO and CSO's), provide one of the most important links for our DAV Chapter. They are responsible for providing accurate information related to benefits and services available to veterans, their dependents and survivors.

The responsibility of our CSO's is to advise, instruct and counsel claimants and to aid in the preparation of claims for various benefits to which claimants may be entitled. When an inquiry is taken or after an appropriate VA form is completed, such information is immediately forwarded to the National Service Officer (NSO), for review in accuracy and submission to the regional office.

Did You Know?...

The current VA can trace its roots back to 1636, when the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony were at war with the Pequot Indians. ... In the later 1800s, federal veterans assistance was expanded to include benefits and pensions not only for veterans, but also for their widows and dependents.
